All effective teamwork begins with self-awareness, and in this work, that foundation is established through the Reality Security Inventory—a psychosomatic assessment that reveals individuals' emotions, thoughts, feelings, and behavior under both Usual and Stress conditions. When a leader begins the team development process by completing the Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic assessment with a feedback consultation, they set the tone for everything that follows. Leadership is reflected, not declared. The emotional climate of a team mirrors the mindset, attitudes, and behaviors of its leader.

Through this process, leaders gain clarity around their own values, emotional needs, and leadership patterns, allowing them to intentionally model trust, emotional literacy, accountability, and constructive communication. With this insight, new organizational strategies naturally emerge—supporting effective team structure, improved employee selection and placement, reduced stress, increased job satisfaction, and stronger workforce compatibility. Action planning becomes purposeful rather than reactive, as leaders choose clear and competent directions that align well-being with exceptional results.

Once the leader has established this foundation, the Leadership Team is integrated into the process. Team members participate in the Reality Security Inventory with the psychosomatic consultation or attend Reality Security Inventory seminars, either online or in-house, conducted by Margo Mansfield and her competent, seasoned staff. This shared experience allows team members to understand one another’s Emotional Needs Baselines and Safety Zones, creating a powerful shift in communication, collaboration, and mutual respect. Trust deepens, productivity increases, leadership potential becomes visible, and commitment strengthens—not because it is required, but because people feel emotionally safe, understood, and valued.

The result is a work environment where well-being and performance no longer compete as priorities but, in fact, support one another.  They reinforce one another. Teams become more resilient, leaders more effective, and organizations more capable of sustained success.

This pathway begins with the leader. The leader completes the Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic assessment and participates in a confidential feedback consultation, gaining insight into their own psychosomatic patterns, emotional drivers, leadership strengths, and stress responses. This self-awareness allows the leader to consciously model the values, behaviors, and emotional tone they wish to cultivate within the organization.

With clarity and intention, the leader identifies priorities, sets direction, and engages in action planning grounded in emotional intelligence, literacy, and mastery. Once this foundation is established, the leadership team and broader team are integrated into the process through Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic consultations or seminars. The team’s development builds upon the leader’s example, creating alignment, trust, and sustainable momentum.

The Partnership of Modalities in Teambuilding: Psychosomatic Coaching and Training

Effective leadership and team development often require a thoughtful combination of training and coaching. Team development training builds shared skills in communication, collaboration, trust, and teamwork, while Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic training provides a common language for understanding human interaction—people's emotions, thoughts, feelings, and behavior under both Usual and Stress conditions. At the same time, individual coaching may be necessary when a team member’s productivity, stress patterns, or behavior limits their own effectiveness or affects others. Focused personal support allows individuals to resolve underlying issues, align with team expectations, and pursue their own goals more clearly.
