Psychosomatic Coaching and Training
For Individuals
I love working with individuals wanting to focus on themselves and their goals. I have helped clients navigate change, build better communication and relationship skills, and reach higher levels of performance for decades. -Margo Mansfield
"Even though I participated in the program led by Margo almost 10 years ago, I am still reaping the benefits. Learning that feelings, while not facts are necessary information, I should pay attention to. When I have strong ones, I get curious about what they may be trying to tell me. This helps center my thinking and allows me to make decisions with more clarity."
-Christine Ynzunza, Seattle Department of Natural Resources Program, HR Manager III
Psychosomatic Coaching
Definition of Reality Security Inventory Psychosomatic Coaching:
Reality Security Inventory Psychosomatic Coaching is a distinct methodology that fuses the principles of emotional intelligence with detailed feedback from the Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic assessment, which measures ten core areas of psychosomatic needs. This combination creates a foundation for authentic emotional literacy—an understanding not only of what a person feels, but why they feel it, how those emotions shift between their Usual state and Stress. The client-coach relationship is a collaborative, interpersonal experience in which a certified coach uses questions, reflection, and guided exploration to connect a client’s core values, emotional and thought patterns, and lifestyle with personal and professional goals.
As coach and client examine how the client’s psychosomatic needs express themselves under both Usual and Stress conditions, the client begins to see the internal logic of their insecurity: the programmed patterns of thought and behavior that once protected them but now limit their choices. Through this exploration, the client learns to recognize and interpret the emotional signals tied to each psychosomatic need, uncovering the origins of both security and insecurity. With the coach’s support, the client then designs personalized interventions that interrupt old reactions, shift long-standing habits, and build new thoughts and emotional responses through free will choices that are aligned with core values and belief systems.
This process empowers clients to reprogram their internal operating system with conscious intention and free will. As they grow familiar with the mechanics of their emotional and thinking landscape, they develop the ability to transform stressful moments—those old triggers of insecurity—into opportunities for stability, clarity, and grounded action. The ultimate aim is not just resolution in a given moment but the cultivation of an enduring capacity to convert insecurity into inner security, making emotional steadiness a natural outcome rather than a distant aspiration. This provides the foundation for growing and deep resilience.
This richer understanding of the self becomes a springboard for more purposeful decision-making, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of agency in both personal and professional life.

Psychosomatic Training
Definition of Reality Security Inventory Psychosomatic Training:
Reality Security Inventory Psychosomatic Training offers a psychosomatic perspective that centers each individual’s uniqueness in its learning. It strengthens personal and interpersonal emotional intelligence and literacy by helping students understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are shaped by the ten psychosomatic needs measured in the Reality Security Inventory psychosomatic assessment. Because the assessment reveals how personality expresses emotions, thoughts, feelings and behavior differently under both Usual and Stress conditions, students gain a clearer picture of the internal forces that drive their choices, reactions, and communication patterns. This perspective makes emotional literacy not an abstract concept, but a pragmatic skill rooted in the student’s own lived experience.
The training explains how each person’s value system and belief structure generate distinct emotional intensities, which then influence thought and behavior patterns —sometimes constructively, sometimes defensively. By learning to connect thoughts to emotions, and emotions to behavior, students discover how these components shift when Stress activates old programming patterns of thoughts and behavior. This self-awareness becomes the foundation for recognizing how insecurity forms and why specific stressors lead to predictable reactions. It also allows students to notice the subtle but powerful differences between who they are in their Usual state and who they become when Stressed.
Exercises and steps to build retention anchor this knowledge base by guiding students to observe, map, and investigate their own thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns in real time. They begin to see how past experiences created automatic responses that once felt protective but now limit their ability to navigate challenges effectively. As these patterns become visible through self-awareness, students learn to reframe their thoughts, interrupt their behaviors, and choose emotional responses aligned with their current values and desires rather than their outdated conditioning. This begins the gradual process of reprogramming the internal habits that no longer serve their ability to change and grow.
With this shift comes greater flexibility: students begin to notice similar patterns in others and interpret emotional triggers with far more clarity and compassion. This broader awareness strengthens communication, reduces misinterpretation, and supports more stable personal and professional relationships. In the long run, the training gives students the ability to transform stress into a signal for conscious adjustment rather than automatic reactivity. It cultivates emotional steadiness, internal security, and a greater sense of agency—turning emotional intelligence into a lived, self-directed practice that supports performance, resilience, and authentic connection.
